I enjoy working with clients to solve problems, identify opportunities and provide sound advice through personalized service with a focus on achieving business and personal goals. As a tax specialist, my expertise in succession and estate planning, income tax research, income tax planning and corporate reorganizations allows me to provide clients with the full picture to determine the best way forward.

Having obtained my Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation I have a particular focus on succession and estate planning and I work frequently with executors and trustees to help navigate their tax obligations.

Having been born and raised in Ottawa, I continued my post-secondary studies at Carleton University where I obtained my Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting. I started at Hendry Warren as a co-op student in 2013. It was during this time and throughout university that I developed an interest and aptitude in tax, having received the CCH Canadian Limited Award in Taxation upon graduating from Carleton.

Spencer obtained his CPA, CA designation in 2018 and his TEP designation in 2021. Spencer has also completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax course, which is the cornerstone education for professionals specializing in income tax in Canada. Spencer is a member of CPA Ontario, CPA Canada, STEP Canada, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Ottawa Estate Planning Council. Spencer joined the partnership group in 2023.
