Tristan Pettigrew

It was my friend who initially convinced me to take a business class in high school. I didn’t think that I would enjoy it, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this class would ignite my passion for accounting. Several years later, I had the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the accounting profession thanks to my university’s co-op program, including an eight-month work term at Hendry Warren. It was then that I truly knew that accounting was the career path for me.

Today, I take on a variety of projects at the Firm in my role as assurance manager. I assist our clients with their reporting needs whether it be compilation, review or audit financial statement engagements as well as their tax reporting requirements for both for-profit organizations and NPOs. Additionally, I enjoy serving as a mentor for the Firm’s co-op students and junior staff, helping them solidify their passion for the profession, just as my mentors did for me. To further develop my skills and knowledge in the field, I completed a Certified Fraud Examiner designation in 2022.

Tristan joined Hendry Warren as a co-op student in 2020 and graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting later that year. In 2021, he started as a full-time staff member at the firm. He is a member of CPA Canada and CPA Ontario and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant Designation in 2023
