Patrick McConkey , CPA, CA
From a young age, I was always very in tune with music, from listening to various genres to playing the piano. I quickly, realized that learning music improved my math skills, pair that with my father already working in accounting, and I was sold on the profession. My career as a Rockstar fell short thanks to my singing voice.
Early in my career at Hendry Warren, I began to really enjoy the diversity the profession provided. From working in both tax and accounting, I was able to gain in depth knowledge on both fronts which translates to providing valuable services and assistance to a wide array of clients from different industries. Specifically, I thrive and gain satisfaction in making a difference, whether that is through mentoring current staff or co-ops, being a part of the social committee of the firm, or through providing clients with solutions to business questions they have along the way.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing all sorts of sports, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
Patrick joined Hendry Warren as a co-op student in September 2014 and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Carleton University in 2016. Upon graduation, he was hired full time to join the firm. He is a member of CPA Canada and CPA Ontario after obtaining his CPA, CA designation in 2019
