Ian has formed Southannan Consulting Corporation and regularly consults with clients concerning governance, corporate structure, and planning.

Ian founded Hendry Warren LLP with Dan Warren in September 2002. He is a graduate of the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University at Kingston and obtained his CA designation in 1979. Ian obtained his TEP designation in 2003.

Ian is very active in the Ottawa community, serving on various committees and as past-chair of the CHEO Foundation, current board chair of Roger Neilson House as well as being a member and past-President of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa.

Previously, he was a sessional lecturer at Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa for ten years, lecturing in accounting and taxation. In December of 2018 Ian was made a Fellow of The Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in recognition of his service to the profession.
