The CRA’s Annual Office Audit Letter Campaign

In January 2015, the Canada Revenue Agency will send approximately 33,000 letters to taxpayers who have previously claimed business losses, rental losses, or employment expenses on their tax return.

Two types of letters will be sent out: educational letters, and intent-to-audit letters.  Please note that the receipt of one of these letters does not mean that you will be selected for audit, however there is an increased risk of audit due to CRA’s review of these specific items.
